It all begins in the boudoir, where Dahan has expanded upon her legendary camisole to include silk bottoms, tunics and slip dresses, all with exquisite accents such as lace, ruffles, embroidery, two-tone, and peekaboo details. Laid back and lounged out, Dahan dominates this category with lovely underpinnings that prepare a woman for her daily dressing routine.
The romance is carried out through stylish ready-to-wear that is saturated in texture and dimension. Signature silhouette tops are draped just so, and pants are worn slouchy but beyond the layering and looseness lies a chic, pulled-together point of view. A tribute to the Gold Hawk woman’s polished presence, each piece is finished to perfection, with both flowy and minimalistic styles simmering in impeccable textured dyed silks and thoughtful tailoring.
Reminiscent of the Great Gatsby era, the use of floral and vintage details, bows and liquid metal sequins appear in a modern, updated way throughout the collection. Fresh takes on two-tone color blocking prove the Gold Hawk woman’s fearlessness. These bold designs are doused in beautifully dusty shades of gypsy rose, sandy beach, putty, slate and marzipan, a palette that’s soft and sultry all at once, whether combined together, fused with neon accents, or sleekly steadfast in a monochromatic vision.
Montreal-born designer, Michele Dahan, founded Gold Hawk in 2003. Gold Hawk, named after an exquisite black horse, has become one of the foremost contemporary women’s lines. Dahan embraces old Hollywood style while simultaneously combining sensuality and an elegant sensibility. She allows her worldly travels and everyday inspirations to spill over into her work, resulting in exquisite silk camisoles, dresses, cashmere sweaters, and skirts.
